The Department of Comparative Cultural Studies at the University of Houston invites applications for a position as a part-time lecturer to teach courses in Anthropology, with a specialization in Archaeology. This is a non-tenure track position and lecturer appointments are made on a semester basis.

The Department of Comparative Cultural Studies combines degree programs in Anthropology, Liberal Studies, and Religious Studies. The University of Houston, with one of the most diverse student bodies in the nation, seeks to recruit and retain a diverse community of scholars.

The successful candidate must have at least a MA in Anthropology (PhD preferred), with a specific background in Archaeology, and should have prior teaching experience, minimally as a TA in Anthropology courses, with knowledge of archaeology at the undergraduate level. It is desirable for the applicant to demonstrate the capacity to teach ANTH 2303 - Introduction to Archaeology.
