Unit 7 - CSUEU - Clerical and Administrative
Support Services, Administrative, Probationary, Full Time,

At CSUSB, you can:
Review and process all Invited Guest Parking requests submitted
by the campus community. Apply and interpret policies in the
completion of this task whilst ensuring that parking arrangement
options provided meet the event type and size.
Process and create various vendor and event permits such as
coupon codes, Qualtrics emailed printable parking permits, and
punch out permits when needed.
Update and distribute the parking events calendar weekly.
Process chargebacks and requests for billing for the guest
requests. Follow up with General Accounting to ensure that payments
are received and posted in the correct General Ledger Account.
Process refunds for various types of transactions this includes
but is not limited to parking permits, dispenser permits, parking
citation overpayments, and guest requests refunds.
Use T2 System to support customer service tasks such as
reviewing the status of permits.
Serves a backup for the Issuance and processing in the T2
System of Volunteer and Alumni Recreation Permits
Coordinating permit issuance for Resident and F/S permits being
picked at the Information Center by ensuring they are organized,
accurate, and up to date for any future audits and data tracking
Events and Customer Service
Assists IC's student assistants to respond to escalated
customers' queries using tact, diplomacy, and de-escalation
Support the Events Specialists by regularly contacting and
communicating with key personnel in key departments that host
events to determine the effectiveness of current service levels,
collaborate with colleagues within the department to implement new
processes that meet campus event parking needs.
In the absence of the Events Analyst attending meetings where
planning or scheduling of major events take place, explaining the
range of services that Wayfinding and Event Parking can provide as
well as service limitations.
Administration & Department Support
Coordinate the student assistants hiring process from posting
the job on handshake, reviewing applications, conducting
interviews, selection, and preparation of the Student Hiring
Paperwork for processing at the Human Resources Department.
Train, evaluate, and monitor the performance of the student
assistants; ensuring they are knowledgeable about a variety of
parking permits, where the permits authorize parking; ensuring that
they know the major campus destinations so that correct directions
may be given to visitors/guests.
Providing support to the department timekeeper by reviewing and
submitting student assistant timesheets promptly.
Submit work requests for supplies, maintenance, and upkeep for
the ICs. Submit Key requests for newly hired staff and student
assistants. Annual renewal of Student Assistants key requests.
Serve as a backup for the adjudication of citations as the

Parking and Transportation Services Department supports the
University's mission of transforming lives; ensuring student
learning and success by providing and managing access to CSUSB San
Bernardino and Palm Desert campus; and managing the planning,
design, and operation of the facilities and programs associated
with parking, transit services, Ridesharing, carpooling, and
various alternative transportation programs.
The Department has approximately 20 full-time staff and 20 student
assistants assigned under parking enforcement, parking
administration, alternative transportation, and information
centers. This department manages the two Information Centers at the
entrance of campus where students, employees, and guests frequent
to obtain directions and parking-related information. This position
