The Department of Higher Education at The University of Mississippi seeks applicants with expertise in quantitative methods or other related fields in Higher Education to fill a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. Additional expertise in assessment and/or program evaluation is also welcomed.

The Department of Higher Education offers a residential Master's degree program focused on Student Affairs and an online Master's program for working professionals focused on higher education. The department also offers a residential Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree focused on researcher preparation as well as an online Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) degree that is focused on practitioner preparation. The Ed.D. degree is based on the Carnegie Project on the Education Doctorate (CPED) framework and is directed toward equity, ethics, and social justice in professional practice.

The Department of Higher Education is deeply committed to advancing equity in Higher Education policy and practice and is, therefore, seeking a colleague who is committed to the principles of equity, ethics, and social justice and demonstrates such via their teaching, research, and service.

The candidate of choice will be asked to chair as well as serve on doctoral dissertation committees and master's theses, conduct research, and provide service to the University and community.
