The MSSU Dental Hygiene Department in Joplin, Missouri is currently seeking candidates for a full-time 12-month, non-tenure track, Dental Hygiene Program Director beginning January 2022. Successful candidates should have the following minimum credentials: graduate of an accredited dental hygiene program, Master’s degree in dental hygiene or related health field, Missouri Dental Hygiene License (including local anesthesia / nitrous oxide conscious sedation), minimum five years clinical practice experience and experience teaching dental hygiene didactic and preclinical and clinical courses in higher education preferred. The position requires a demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence and advising at the undergraduate level. A Ph.D. is preferred; however, candidates who possess a Master’s Degree in Dental Hygiene or related health field will be considered.
