This is a full-time benefits eligible position working approximately 1768 hours per year.

Working hours:
Monday – Friday; 8 am to 5 pm during the Fall and Spring semesters
Monday – Thursday; 7:30 am to 4:30 pm during the Summer semester.

Provide nursing support to the University Health Center Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and the Family Nurse Practitioners. Utilize the nursing process to assist patients in achieving optimum wellness. Education & Formal Training Other Education & Formal Training
Graduate of approved Licensed Practical or Vocational Nursing program. Computer Skills Word-Processing, Other - Electronic Medical Records Experience
One (1) year nursing experience preferred. Other Experience Licenses, Certificates, Registrations, & State/Federal Requirements of Position: Criminal History check Other Licenses, Certificates, Registrations, & State/Federal Requirements
Active Missouri License Practical Nurse License or eligible.

Certification in CPR / BLS required. Special Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge: Attention to detail, Communication skills, including oral, written, and/or nonverbal, Knowledge of a University environment preferred, Human Relations/Interpersonal skills, Physical abilities: mobility/strength/dexterity/balance/coordination/endurance, Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and meet deadlines, Maintain confidentiality Other Special Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge
Mental skills including concentration, memory, complex decision making, analytical thinking, and/or conceptual thinking.

Knowledge of concepts of wellness and health promotion in an outpatient setting.

Ability to deal effectively with the student body, health care providers, community agencies, and individuals representing a broad social economic, cultural and linguistic spectrum.

Willingness to engage in continuous learning and ongoing training.

Technical proficiency with nursing skills.

Ability to use electronic applications appropriate to nursing duties such as electronic medical records.
