The Department of Human Performance, Division of Communication Sciences and Disorders at West Virginia University (WVU) is seeking a full-time, non-tenure track (12-month) Assistant Professor of Speech-Language Pathology to contribute to a well-established program with a tradition of excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service. The successful candidate will contribute to the mission of WVU and the program in Communication Sciences and Disorders housed within the School of Medicine.

The successful candidate will provide high-quality clinical services in the WVU Speech, Language, and Hearing Clinic to diverse population including developmental and acquired disorders. In addition to service provision, the successful candidate will train students for the delivery of speech-language pathology services. Individuals with at least three years of clinical experience are encouraged to apply. Active engagement in Division, University, and professional service activities is also expected including participation in Division and committee meetings as well as recruitment and review of applicants to the master’s in speech-language pathology programs.

Qualifications :

Applicants must meet the following criteria for consideration:
  • West Virginia Speech-Language Pathology license or eligible for a West Virginia Speech-Language Pathology license;
  • Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence;
  • 3 years of clinical experience;
  • Preference for those with previous experience in clinical supervision.
All qualifications must be met by the time of the appointment.
