Description

The Psychological Science Department seeks one part-time teacher-scholar with a strong record of teaching excellence to teach two or more courses in Spring 2022.

The Department of Psychological Science at Ball State University is comprised of twenty-three full-time faculty with teaching and research expertise spanning social, cognitive, clinical, and developmental psychology, and neuroscience. Our department includes two Master’s programs in Clinical Psychology and Psychological Science, a large undergraduate major (approximately 700 students), a psychology minor, and interdisciplinary concentrations in criminal justice, data analytics, and neuroscience. The department’s mission aligns with the university’s focus on high impact experiences for our undergraduate and graduate students, and we provide strong generalist training in psychology as a science. Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree or higher in psychology or closely related field from an accredited college or university; potential as a teacher of psychology courses.

Authorization to work in the US

Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

We are seeking applicants who demonstrate one or more of the following qualifications: doctoral degree from an accredited institution in psychology or closely related field; a commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive environment; and experience/potential to teach courses in introduction to psychological science, statistics, research methods, industrial/organizational, psychology of women, diversity, prejudice and discrimination, or bio/neuro psychology.
