Summary
The Institutional Effectiveness Coordinator is the primary facilitator for the University’s online course evaluation system and assessment surveys and also assists with many activities conducted by the Office of Institutional Research by performing the following duties: Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Oversee and schedule all online course evaluations conducted each semester. This includes coordinating with the University’s schools, colleges, and departments and the external survey software vendor to ensure all courses are evaluated.
2. Ensure correct individual, unit, and University course evaluation reports are available to faculty, Schools, Colleges, and Departments and provide reports to individuals, as appropriate.
3. Serve as the primary contact for faculty, students, and staff seeking information about the CSU course evaluation system and results.
4. Assist in coordinating university assessment surveys and supervisor evaluations. Distribute results as appropriate.
5. Work with Assistant Director of Institutional Research and other campus offices to deliver surveys and maintain survey schedules and documentation.
6. Assist with collecting information for and completing external surveys for college guides and professional organizations.
7. Perform data entry and verification while ensuring data quality and consistency of reporting, according to professional standards and internal practices.
8. Conduct statistical analyses and visualized reporting while combining multiple data from different sources. Update and create university dashboards, as needed.
9. Compile and evaluate data in Excel, create charts, run Cognos reports, and prepare data upload files for survey systems.
10. Provide technical expertise on new and/or existing Institutional Research software and technology.
11. Assist in monitoring and updating the Institutional Research Web Page, as needed or requested.
12. Assist the Director and Assistant Director of Institutional Research with special projects and other duties as assigned.
13. Contribute to the overall effective and efficient operation of the Office of Institutional Research.
14. Protect the confidentiality of University data, according to the University Confidentiality/Discretion Policy.

• Ability to read and write at a level appropriate to the duties of the position.
• Ability to use independent judgment and to manage and impart confidential information.
• Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports and dashboards.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a diverse faculty, staff and student body.
• Excellent telephone courtesy knowledge and experience.
• Ability to interpret, adapt, and apply guidelines and procedures.
• Ability to develop and maintain recordkeeping systems and procedures.
• Ability to resolve customer complaints and concerns.
• Ability to investigate and analyze information and to draw conclusions.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to create and manipulate tables of numbers.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
