The Associate Professor/Full Professor opening is a tenure-track position in the area of strategic management/organizational theory. Eligible applicants must conduct high-quality research that is published in the Department’s “A level” journals; effectively teach management courses at the undergraduate and/or graduate level; serve as a research mentor to doctoral students; engage in service related activities that contribute to the department, college, university, and field; and interact effectively with colleagues to support and enhance our unique department culture.  This appointment is beginning Fall 2022.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate Professor - 1) An earned doctorate in strategic management, organization theory, or a related academic field; 2) Evidence of actively and regularly publishing in the Department’s “A level” journals, with a publication record commensurate with the rank and experience of Associate Professor; 3) Evidence of teaching excellence in one or more areas of management

Full Professor - 1) An earned doctorate in strategic management, organization theory, or a related academic field; 2) Evidence of actively and regularly publishing in the Department’s “A level” journals, with a publication record commensurate with the rank and experience of Full Professor; 3) Evidence of teaching excellence in one or more areas of management

Desired Qualifications:

Associate/Full Professor- 1) Evidence of publishing in the department’s “A level” journals with doctoral students, especially if coming from a department with a doctoral program; 2) Strong research pipeline of projects submitted to or targeting the Department's “A level” journals; 3) Evidence that the applicant’s research has had scholarly and practical impact commensurate with rank and experience; 4) Evidence of service contributions at the department, college, university, and/or field levels; 5) Evidence of engaging with others in a respectful and cooperative manner so as to support and enhance a collegial department culture

Applicants must submit a letter of interest (a cover letter that describes the position you are seeking and a brief overview of research and teaching interests), curriculum vitae, evidence of effective university teaching, and a statement (one page maximum) addressing how their past and/or potential contributions to diversity and inclusion will advance W. P. Carey’s commitment to inclusive excellence. Three letters of reference will be requested during the latter stages of the selection process and applicants shall prepare to provide all letters within three weeks upon request.
