Assistant Director of Client Services and Scholarships

 

Coastal Carolina University is accepting applications for the following position: Assistant Director of Client Services and Scholarships (Financial Aid Coordinator) in Financial Aid and Scholarships.

 

Duties include, but are not limited to: supervising and training four Financial Aid counselors, processing daily workflow that must include accurate evaluation of documentation to ensure student files and awards are within federal, state, and institutional compliance; assisting in managing several financial aid and scholarships processes, including awarding financial aid programs to students; contributing to the overall success and smooth operation of Client Services within the office; assisting students and parents either in person, phone or email; providing accurate counseling regarding financial aid opportunities; and serving as a speaker for both on and off campus recruitment and enrollment events;  assists with processing specific financial aid and scholarships programs to include: Merit Awards, Academic Common Market, Institutional Awards, Sponsored Billing, State Grants, Military Aid Programs, & LIFE Program awarding; and other performing other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements: A bachelor’s degree and at least one (1) year of experience in financial aid in a higher education setting are required. Two (2) years of related experience in financial aid is preferred.

Financial Aid Coordinator (AD82/147977/FTE-S00497P), full-time position with benefits. SC State Pay Band: 05.  Minimum starting salary: $34,331.00. Normal work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Must be flexible to meet the special scheduling needs of the university.  Minimal overnight travel, some nights and weekends will be required. Attendance at Financial Aid Workshops and professional development sessions are required. Requires work at times in the processing cycle beyond normal work hours.
