Director, Krannert Executive Education Programs Job Summary

Purdue University is looking for the right candidate to fill the role of Director of Krannert’s Executive Education Programs.  As the Director of Krannert’s Executive Education Programs you will direct all aspects of on-campus and hybrid degree and non-degree programs for working professionals at the executive level, including Krannert's highly-regarded Executive MBA and International Master's in Management programs.  The Director will be accountable for program enrollments, client experience, and financial success of the schools suite of offerings. There will be a need to make decisions and speak on behalf of the Associate Dean for Executive Education in their absence.



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Business, Communications, or a related field
  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience in leadership or management experience in an academic or business environment
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas:  executive education, continuing education, corporate relations, student services, and academic program administration, or corporate experience in human resources, training/development, course development and delivery, marketing, business development, or related experience  
  • Experience with needs assessment, design, pricing, and delivery of training and development programs for professionals and managers
  • Must be capable of managing complex processes, 
  • Ability to supervise a staff of full and part-time employees 
  • Ability to interact positively with a diverse population, thinking creatively, and working under pressure and meeting deadlines
  • Outstanding organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and audiences simultaneously
  • Highly effective written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced customer service-oriented environment
  • The ability to develop and manage relationships effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Knowledge of executive education trends, issues, and challenges and a proven ability to be innovative in approaches to management problems desirable
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel overnight (up to 25% on average; more during some periods), as needed



  • Master’s degree in Management, Business, Communications, or a related field
  • Experience directing graduate or professional programs in general, and MBA or Executive programs from a top-ranked business school
