The George Washington University School of Business (GWSB) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in entrepreneurship starting in Fall 2022. The position is targeted at the Assistant Professor level.

The candidate is expected to teach courses in entrepreneurship at the undergraduate and graduate levels. We are growing our entrepreneurship course offerings and therefore have a great degree of flexibility and options regarding teaching domains (e.g., Entrepreneurship, Small Business Management, New Venture Initiation, Creativity & Innovation, Family Business, Social Entrepreneurship) at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. New tenure track faculty members ordinarily have a three-course teaching load and summer support.

Applicants for this position must have completed all requirements for the Ph.D. (or other terminal) degree in management or a closely related field by the date of appointment. Applicants must have a research record that demonstrates the potential for top quality scholarly research and teaching excellence in entrepreneurship.

The GWSB Department of Management is committed to rigorous and high-impact scholarly work from a variety of methodological and theoretical perspectives. We have 16 full-time faculty who teach and do research in the areas of organizational behavior, human resources, entrepreneurship, and tourism/hospitality/sport management. The department provides a highly collegial environment with strong research support, including the opportunity to work with both management and strategy doctoral students as part of the joint management-strategy doctoral program. Management faculty research has appeared in such outlets as of Journal of Business Venturing, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, Journal of Small Business Management, International Journal of Entrepreneurship Education, Journal of Small Business and Enterprise development. Our faculty also publish in general management, organizational behavior, human resource management, and tourism and hospitality management journals.
