Assistant Professor (Economics)

The Department of Economics  at UMass Boston invites applications for a tenure track assistant professor position with interest in Gender, Race, and/or Poverty, to begin September 1, 2022.

 

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Evidence of progress towards an excellent scholarly record
  • Successful teaching record
  • Capacity to contribute to undergraduate general education, economics major, and graduate instruction
  • Evidence of successful teaching with diverse students/international students
  • D. by no later than August 31, 2022

 

Application review will begin on November 15, 2021. Preliminary interviews will be at the ASSA meetings in Boston in January 2022.

  • Letter of application and explanation of how your work complements Department-wide heterodoxy
  • CV
  • Sample of completed, published/in progress work (articles/book chapters)
  • Evidence of teaching effectiveness
  • Three references
