Job Description

The Department of Ophthalmology seeks outstanding candidates for a part-time Research Aide position (20-25 hours per week) at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine. The selected candidate will be responsible for assisting with ocular cell biology, biochemistry and microscopy experiments as part of a newly NIH-funded research project. This involves preparing biological and other specimens for imaging and ocular cell biological and biochemical testing and to acquire and analyze related data. This position will assist in maintaining the ocular cell biology, biochemistry and microscopy equipment, order routine supplies, prepare technical reports and archive data.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Qualification: To be considered for the Research Aide position, applicants must have a:

  • High school diploma or equivalent degree


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in biology methods. Experience in cell biology is a preferred qualification.

Part time, non benefit eligible position
