Job Summary

The Assistant Director Technical Services will serve in building processes to streamline the current distributed processes for procuring and managing end user software licenses. As part of managing these processes, an IT services catalog will be created and managed. Prior to software contract renewals, this role will be responsible for reviewing licensing terms, usage (based on reports from university tools), and provide recommendations to management to determine the cost benefits.

Essential Functions
  • Manage the development of a centralized end user software license process
  • Work with the Technical Services team to maintain up-to-date documentation and service catalog
  • Analyze and report on usage of end user software licensed by the university.
  • Maintain IT relationships with departments and colleges
  • Work with vendors and make purchasing recommendations based on thorough research with evidence to show that you have weighed alternatives
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience

  • Lifting demands ≤ 25lbs
