Associate Director of STEM Programs

Under the supervision of the Dean and Associate Dean, the Associate Director of STEM Programs (Associate Director 3) assists with the academic and administrative management of NJCSTM program activities, the development of new programs and special projects. This position is directly responsible for administration of the STEM Education programs and WKU MS Biotechnology program, including all assessment and accreditation activities; develops and implements program policies and procedures; oversees and mentors independent research students; and does related work as required. The Associate Director may be required to teach two in-load courses each semester (spring and fall) in addition to assigned managerial duties and responsibilities. This position is located at the Union, New Jersey campus. It requires travel and a flexible schedule including evening and weekend hours.

Qualifications: Ph.D. degree in a STEM field is required, preferably in Biology. A minimum of three years of professional experience and k nowledge in teaching, research and administration in higher education is preferred. Familiarity with current trends in STEM education and curricula, pedagogy and accreditation is strongly preferred. Candidate must have excellent organizational, interpersonal and oral and written communication skills.
