Managing Assistant Director III

Under the direction of the Associate Director of Admissions Operations, the Managing Assistant Director manages Pre-Enrollment Services in the Office of University Admissions and is responsible for supervising work operations and personnel in the administration of data management and processing services for admissions at Kean University. The Managing Assistant Director ensures maximum efficiency, accountability and a high level of productivity for all members of the Pre-Enrollment Services Unit, while focusing on excellent customer service. The Managing Assistant Director participates in the development and implementation of unit and office goals, policies and procedures that will affect admissions operations at the University; and does related work as required.

The Managing Assistant Director is a key member of the enrollment services team who works in collaboration with other managers within the division to provide essential data management and processing services. This position requires travel and a flexible schedule including evening and weekend hours.

This is not a remote position and requires physical presence on campus as determined by the Supervisor. It requires working on campus during the COVID-19 pandemic and interacting directly with students following all procedures and protocols set forth in the University’s Restart Plan and any procedures/protocols created through additional correspondence.

Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited college with a Bachelor’s degree and two years of professional experience in data processing supervision is required, preferably in an institution of higher education. Management experience in a college/university admissions office and thorough knowledge of Datatel Colleague ERP and software, Ellucian Recruit CRM system and Microsoft Excel, Word and Adobe Suite software are preferred.
