Job Summary:

The Athletics Department at Marist College invites applications for a part-time, 12-month position as Athletics Communications Assistant. The Athletics Communications Assistant will work under the direction of Associate Athletics Director, External Affairs, in preparing, collecting and dissemination of sports data in a timely manner for all 23 Division I programs, in addition to specific sports assignments. Marist College is an NCAA Division I program in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in communications or related field or equivalent experience. Experience with all forms of digital media including website, social media, video and mobile. Experience with Adobe Indesign, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, StatCrew, and Microsoft Word.

Essential Functions:
  • Responsible for staffing home events for assigned sports, including production of game programs, overseeing statistical staff, and performing public address announcing (if necessary)
  • Produces content for GoRedFoxes.com and social media platforms
  • Maintains accurate records for GoRedFoxes.com (including rosters, schedules, and statistics)
  • Maintains historical database for assigned sports
Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in Division I college strongly preferred. Strong writing and digital media skills; ability to communicate effectively with coaches, media and staff; experience with Division I sports information departments
