Minimum Qualifications:

 

Bachelor's Degree earned from an accredited institution and four (4) years of experience in an IT related field to include administrative systems planning and management. At least one year of experience with Ellucian Banner management

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

Master’s Degree earned from an accredited institution and six (6) years of experience in an IT related field to include administrative systems planning and management.  At least three years of experience with Ellucian Banner and SQL management.

 

General Function: 

 

Manage and maintain administrative systems software, applications, and services. Provide leadership and support to the administrative computing services personnel. Oversee the planning and implementation of software, applications, and service solutions that support the strategic, institutional effectiveness, student success and quality enhancement plan of the College.

 

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

 

·       Manages, plans, designs, configures, administers, troubleshoots, and supports systems including but not limited to Ellucian Banner, Evisions suite of products (Argos, FormFusion, IntelleCheck, Maps), SQL and Oracle databases, Dynamic Forms (Next Gen Web Solutions), PageBuilder, and Degree Works.

·       Plan, coordinate, and implement system projects according to best practices standards while adhering to proper security measures to protect data, applications, and services.

·       Provide support for end-users to ensure all administrative systems software, applications, and services provide the functionality required by end users or departments.

·       Manage the acquisition, installation, and user training of administrative systems, applications, and services as they pertain to Administrative Computing.

·       Provide leadership and guidance to the Administrative Computing team.

·       Assist in the ongoing development and testing of a campus-wide disaster recovery plan as it relates to systems managed by the Administrative Computing team.                                                                              

·       Prepare and maintain annual budget and expenditures for Administrative Computing systems, applications, and services.

·       Advise CIO on current trends and predictions for future endeavors.

·       Communicate and coordinate with IT leadership on ongoing and future projects, as well as provide guidance for best practices.

·       Other duties as assigned

·       Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment with open communication and dialogue among colleagues

·       Ability to diagnose and resolve complex systems, applications, and service issues as they pertain to Administrative Computing

·       Ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple terms when the audience requires it

·       Ability to multitask and switch directions on demand as needed by the CIO

·       Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a diverse community
