  1. Serve as the Office Professional under the administrative guidance of the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences and the School of Visual and Performing Arts ( SVPA ) to include: plan, document, and monitor budgets. Provide financial guidance to the School Chair, Assistant Chairs, and faculty regarding the status of accounts and approval of expenses. Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual budget reports and reconciliation as requested. Administer Office budget policies and procedures. Monitor budgets of subordinate areas; invoice customers and deposit revenue into appropriate accounts.
  2. Serve as Office Manager, to include: coordination of office calendar and deadlines, purchasing, inventory, and equipment maintenance. Hire, train, and supervise student employees. Determine best practices for the office.
  3. Provide administrative support to the College and the VPA School Chair, VPA Assistant Chairs, and VPA faculty to include: scheduling and supporting events; managing access to facilities; scheduling appointments, extracurricular use of classrooms and the Highlander Theatre; creating and distributing correspondence; maintaining records; making travel arrangements; and assisting with special projects. Serve as resource referral person in the absence of the School Chair and/or Assistant Chairs’. Assist in coordinating on- and off-campus events to include: in-service, luncheons, receptions, etc. Assist the School Chair and Assistant Chairs with managing the course schedule each semester, to include: adding, deleting, changing, and managing enrollments in courses as directed.
  4. Function as a customer relations specialist, to include: providing information about the College and the School of Visual and Performing Arts, advising students of enrollment and admission procedures, promoting programs to prospective students, and respond to non-routine written and verbal inquires. Ensure connectivity to all technical based services for all users by performing routine computer corrections, as directed; remain knowledgeable of changes in technology and be familiar with program capabilities. Associate’s degree in Office Administration, Business, or related field.

Education may be substituted for experience or if experience may be substituted for education.   1. Three (3) years advanced administrative support experience assisting a high-level administrator/director.
  2. One (1) year budget operations, financial analysis, or accounting. Two years preferred.
  3. General understanding and background in the performing arts preferred.
