Position Overview
The Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies in the University of Kansas School of Education and Human Sciences is searching for a tenure track, Assistant Professor position in K-12 educational administration. Responsibilities include teaching and conducting research in one or more of the following areas: educational business and finance, human resource management, or related studies within the field of educational administration. Candidate's research and professional practice should demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. This position is a full-time, academic year (9-month), tenure track appointment with a start date of August 18, 2022.

This position must be able to be physically present on KU’s Lawrence campus with scheduled office hours, on-campus instruction, committee meetings, etc. The successful candidate must be eligible to work in the U.S. by the time of appointment.

- Maintain an active research program
- Publish research findings in appropriate scholarly outlets
- Secure external funding as appropriate
- Present papers at professional conferences
- Participate actively in graduate instruction in educational administration. Courses assigned may be in-person, online or hybrid.
- Advise graduate students at the M.S.Ed., Ed.D, and Ph.D. levels, including directing doctoral dissertations
- Hold regular office hours
- Participate in the regular academic activities of the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies
- Provide general service to the department, school, university, and discipline
- Provide scholarly service at the institutional, district, state, regional and/or national level as appropriate
