Position Summary

The Department of Mathematics, University at Buffalo, The State University of New York, anticipates the appointment of several non-tenure-track visiting assistant professors, effective January 2022 or August 2022. These academic-year (10-month) positions are for two years without further reappointment and are intended for new or recent PhDs with outstanding potential in research and excellent teaching. The expected teaching load is one course per semester. Strong preference will be given to researchers who can work closely with one or more of our faculty members, and applicants are encouraged to specify with whom they would like to work.

Minimum Qualifications

Ph.D. in mathematics or related field.

Eligible candidates should be within five years of degree conferral.
