Assistant Professional of English

The Department of Humanities at Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) seeks an Assistant Professional of English (9-month position) to begin Fall 2022. Duties include teaching undergraduate courses and serving on departmental, University, and professional committees. We desire candidates who: have worked with diverse student populations, and have the ability to teach in areas that complement or strengthen our undergraduate and graduate programs.

Required Qualifications:

The successful candidate must hold an earned doctorate in English or closely related field. ABDs may also be considered but must have earned a doctorate before appointment. We are especially interested in candidates whose experience includes Classical Studies and Feminist Literature and Theory.

TAMIU is a growing university of over 8,000 students located in Laredo, Texas, a vibrant bi-lingual, bi-cultural city with a population of about 250,000 on the U.S./Mexico border.
