Job Description

The UMKC School of Law Student Services is accepting applications for an organized, detail-oriented administrator who is known for their ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and their positive can-do attitude. Located at the front desk of the Student Services suite, duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Act as a liaison between students, faculty, administration and the legal community
  • Greeting students, faculty, staff and members of the community who visit the office
  • Provide regular administrative support that includes event coordination, editing articles, and coordinating all correspondence for assigned faculty and staff
  • Assist in managing exam processes and proctoring exams
  • Making travel arrangements and preparing travel reimbursements
  • Coordinate activities for student programs


Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 5 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

The successful candidate will be known for their customer service and time management skills, with effective interpersonal skills for working with students, faculty and other professionals within the legal community.

  • Two years of college or associates degree, and 2 years of administrative experience in a professional office setting preferred
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, and comfortable learning new technology


Full Time/Part Time

Part-time, Non-benefit eligible position.

Salary

$13.27 - $16.75 per hour

Shift

20 hours per week. Flexibility in setting a consistent shift schedule for 3-5 days per week.
