Job Description

The Division of Finance and Administration is seeking an experienced Finance and Budget Support Specialist II. The selected candidate needs to possess organization skills, be a problem-solver, and have great follow-through. They also need to be able to build effective working relationships within the unit(s) they support, other University departments, and external constituents. Successful candidates should be flexible and open to change. This position will provide fiscal support to the one or more colleges, schools, or divisions as assigned.

Provides primary fiscal support for a variety of campus departments. Duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Process daily fiscal transactions including accounts payable, OneCard transactions, reconciliation, and travel and expenses
• Process Purchase Requests for departments (OneCard, ePro, Requisitions)
• Responsible for high levels of data entry
• Maintaining an ongoing knowledge of university policies and procedures
• Communicates with unit representatives and unit Finance and Budget Consultant
• Other projects/duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• An Associate’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• At least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or related area preferred
• Previous experience working with PeopleSoft
• Advanced sills in Microsoft Excel and Access
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with professional demeanor
• Demonstrated ability to problem solve and work independently

Full Time/Part Time

Full time, benefit-eligible position

Salary

$15.29 to $18.00 per hour, commensurate with expereince
