Job Summary: The Rochester Educational Opportunity Center (REOC), part of SUNY Brockport, and located in downtown Rochester invites applications for a Pharmacy Technician Lecturer. The Pharmacy Technician Lecturer is responsible for leading and directing students toward their goal of satisfactory completion of the Pharmacy Technician program. The Lecturer will coordinate and instruct assigned courses at the locations and time designated, which will include classroom, lab, and clinical rotation experiences at community and hospital pharmacies.
Major Responsibilities;
- Provides instruction in classroom and laboratory
environments.
- Prepares and maintains course-related material related to
student enrollment, test records, curriculum planning and review,
lesson plans, evaluations, student progress, and attendance
records.
- Coordinates all matters related to the program's accreditation
in conjunction with Academic Affairs administration.
- Provides clinical supervision in community and hospital
pharmacies.
- Establishes and maintains open lines of communication with
students concerning their progression.
- Engages in academic advisement and counseling.
- Acts as a professional role model for students.
Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree from a college or university accredited by
the U.S. Department of Education or internationally recognized
accrediting organization.
- Minimum of 3 years working as a Pharmacist or Pharmacy
technician.
- Minimum of 1 year teaching and/or training an adult population,
in the area of pharmacy technician.
- PTCB nationally certified as a Pharmacy Technician.
- Demonstrated support of advancing diversity, equity, and
inclusion goals.
Preferred Qualifications: - Master's degree.
- Knowledge of New York State regulations regarding
licensure.
- Competency and knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office
applications and other programs such as Blackboard, Argos and
Banner.
Work Schedule: 25 hrs/week Salary and Benefits: Minimum salary $52,842, May be benefits eligible; more information at Careers@Brockport. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
