Department Summary
The Department of Athletics
California State University, San Bernardino is an NCAA Division II member, competing in the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA). The University seeks an individual who has demonstrated success in attracting campus and community support. The CCAA has been one of the nation's most successful intercollegiate athletic conferences since its establishment in 1938. CCAA members have won 154 NCAA Championships (102 men, 52 women) which is far and away the most of any Division II conference. Job Summary
The Associate Athletics Director for Administration is responsible for the oversight and management of the Compliance and Student-Athlete Services (SAS) units within the Department of Athletics. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), this position helps determine strategic initiatives for the Department. This position will also oversee selected sports as a Sports Supervisor. Continually model and reinforce university, division, and department policies, procedures, culture, and mission.
Employment Status: Full-time, Exempt position, At-will, and included in the Management Personnel Plan.
First Review Deadline: This position will remain open until filled. Applications will be reviewed beginning on October 19, 2021.
Work Schedule
- Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm; evenings and weekends on a limited basis to support division-wide programming.
Key Qualifications
Education and Experience
- A Bachelor's degree from an accredited university is required.
- Athletics and/or higher education knowledge.
- Demonstrated analytical skills utilizing independent judgment and accountability.
Preferred Qualifications
- Five (5) or more years of progressive experience in the oversight of NCAA Athletic Compliance.
- Management experience within college athletics.
- Collegiate student services background and in-depth knowledge.
Salary:
Anticipated Hiring Range: $4,583 - $7,300 per month
Classification Salary Range: $4,583 - $13,750 per month
