IT Project Manager

Northfield Mount Hermon seeks a dynamic self-starter to provide expertise in software and infrastructure project management. The IT PM sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of campus IT projects. The incumbent will incorporate user experience design and testing into project development workflows. The incumbent will lead in planning, organization, maintenance, and day-to-day oversight of projects in support of campus-wide technology initiatives using Scrum, Lean, Kanban, or other Agile project management techniques. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. The IT PM collaborates closely with programmers, systems analysts, and support staff to implement project plans, communicate changes, and provide training and support to the school community.

The successful applicant will have a Bachelor's degree preferably in Computer Science, Information Science or Data Science and a minimum of three years experience; and demonstrated. 

Candidates must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google products expected.  Occasional night and weekend work required to ensure IT operations.

Additional responsibilities include experience managing projects in an IT environment and a demonstrated commitment to customer service is preferred. Demonstrated experience with user experience (UX) research methods. Knowledge of issue tracking and project management systems (e.g., Jira, Zoho, Airtable, MS Project, GitLab) required. Ideal candidates will have certification in one or more of the following: ITIL, PMI CAPM/PMP, Scrum Master, or Comp TIA. Experience managing projects at an academic institution strongly preferred.
