The Provost is a member of the President’s leadership groups and the Provost oversees the academic deans as well as the academic support services and offices. The Provost ensures the quality of all academic programs, policies and personnel, as well as oversees accreditation and the maintenance of a culture of continuous improvement.

BVU’s undergraduate and graduate education programs are accredited by the Department of Education, and its undergraduate Social Work program is accredited by the Council for Social Work Education. BVU’s Clinical Mental Health Master’s program is in the final stages of consideration for accreditation by the Council for the Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs.

BVU is located along the shores of beautiful Storm Lake, a 3,200-acre natural lake in Northwest Iowa.
