Position Summary:

This highly responsible supervisory housekeeping position has 24-hour responsibility for the custodial operations in assigned campus buildings. Work involves the direct supervision of 20 to 30 custodians and the responsibility for cleaning in excess of 500,000 square feet of campus classrooms, offices, laboratories, auditoriums, and hallways. This position is also responsible for managing an annual budget (labor, supplies and equipment) of approximately $450,000.

Duties include:
* making work assignments
* managing supplies and equipment
* training employees
* evaluating performance
* planning, assigning and directing a wide variety of cleaning activities in response to cleaning needs and customer expectations.

This position reports to a Custodial Services Program Supervisor. Work is performed under general supervision.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

Previous Custodian Lead, Supervisor or comparable senior position or demonstrated leadership skills that would translate to a Supervisor position. Customer service experience, time management skills and ability to communicate with people at all levels of the organization. Experience in communicating and training a multi-cultural workforce.

Additional Information:

Must possess a valid Wisconsin Driver's License which meets the UW Risk Management Standards.
Proficiency with office software programs such as MS Word, MS Excel and Outlook email.

Shift: Sunday-Thursday from 10:30pm- 7am
