Job Description

Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC), located in Reno, Nevada, actively maintains a pool of qualified individuals to be selected from on an as needed basis by the department to fulfill part-time temporary instructional needs.

EPY 101 provides a foundation for student success by introducing proven strategies in communication, critical thinking, and college success methods. Study skills, career exploration and personal development will also be explored.

Minimum Qualifications

Please indicate in your application materials your classes of interest, availability for in person courses and your interest in teaching online courses.

Master's degree in Counseling or a closely related field from a regionally accredited institution.

Responsibilities

Candidates must exhibit an appreciation of, a sensitivity to, and respect for a diverse academic environment, inclusive of students, faculty, and staff of varying social, economic, cultural, ideological and ethnic backgrounds.

The primary responsibility is to teach college-level and developmental courses. The position provides opportunity for input into scheduling and course assignments.

Conditions of Employment

This is a on-going pool of qualified individuals interested in part-time, temporary non-tenure track instructional opportunities at Truckee Meadows Community College.

These opportunities are part-time only and will not be continued beyond the ending date. These opportunities may be terminated at will, at any time, for any reason, without notice; appointee has no appeal rights. Temporary assignments are not eligible for consideration for tenure as part of the assignment.
