Randolph-Macon College, a private, co-educational liberal arts institution, invites applications for a full-time Data Integrity Specialist. Reporting directly to the Director of Advancement Services, this individual will be responsible for the data integrity used and maintained by the College’s Office of College Advancement by ensuring recoverability and searchability, traceability (to origin), and connectivity. Data integrity is the maintenance of, and the assurance of the accuracy and consistency of data over its entire life cycle, and is a critical aspect to the design, implementation and usage of any system which stores, processes, or retrieves data.  This role identifies discrepancies in databases using a variety of software, provides integrity checks of databases for possible errors, and protects the validity and accuracy of data to increase stability and performance while improving reusability and maintainability.  This position will collaborate with the Development and Alumni staff to analyze results from the office’s communication to alumni and other constituents, and generally draw analytical information from available data. 

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree and non-profit experience is preferred with preference given to experience in higher education.
  • Must have experience in Raiser’s Edge NXT, and experience with Microsoft Office (specifically Excel, Access, Word, Power Point and Publisher)
  • Proficiency and a desire to work with computer databases, close attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines essential.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills and ability to work on an independent basis and/or a team setting required.
  • Flexibility and a willingness to accept night and weekend work are requirements of the position.
