Technical Assistant - Education Technology (PT)

Salary: $15.83 per hour

MVCC is looking for exceptional colleagues. We seek candidates with: an understanding of the college mission and teaching experience in a comprehensive community college; a focus on student success in a learner-centered environment; and a willingness to use technology to support learning in the academic setting, including on-line instruction and assessment of student learning outcomes.

We are seeking to fill part-time Technical Assistant position in the Educational Technologies office. This position requires weekend and evening shifts and will provide training to assist faculty, staff and students in the use of distance learning technology. Successful candidate should have experience with hardware and software programs (Blackboard, web conferencing, PC hardware, etc.), advanced technical writing and editing skills, excellent oral communication, interpersonal skills as well as advanced critical thinking, analysis, and synthesis skills.

Qualifications:


Required Qualifications:
  • Associates’ degree in appropriate field
  • Minimum of one (1) year of related experience
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in online learning
