Suffolk University is pleased to announce a career opportunity as the Systems and Operations Associate in the Law Academic Services Office. This role is responsible for the effective use and management of all operating systems and applications used in the Office of Academic Services.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities:

Build and maintain MS Access databasesfrom multiple systemsfor registration, examinations, grading, and commencement

Accountable for data/collection/analysis and preparation of reports for decision-making

Assist with various internal record reporting

Utilize software to facilitate and implement in-person and remote exams

Manage course descriptions in Colleague system and on the Web

Assume daily responsibilities in the absence of the Assistant Dean of Academic Services

Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Strong technical and analytical skills including knowledge of and experience with using a variety of software applications

Microsoft Access (required)

Datatel Colleague or other student information system is preferred

Bachelor's degree with 3-5 years higher education/registrar office experience

Ability to construct logical queries and research questions

Demonstrated understanding and ability to apply university and federal policies such as academic regulations and FERPA

Need to be self-motivated to learn; ability to work well with a team as well as on individual projects

Ability to problem-solve and suggest improvements to office processes

Superior customer service and communications

Strong organizational skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple, simultaneous, and competing priorities

Must be able to work additional hours during the academic year -this includes May. December and summer exam periods and Law School Commencement
