This position provides administrative support to Suffolk Law Schools Clinical and Experiential Programs in the areas of event planning, general administrative support, grant applications, and reporting, law practice technology, and social media/PR. The position provides administrative support to the various law clinics and experiential programs in which law students provide legal assistance to real clients under the supervision of faculty members. Strong computer and technology skills, online research skills, attention to detail, the ability to multi-task, and planning skills are required. Fluency in Spanish is strongly preferred, as is experience with event planning, and proficiency with office technology and/or social media.

Primary/Principal Responsibilities with the percentage of time:

25% Assist with event planning and program logistics for Clinical and Experiential Programs, including student, faculty, and alumni events and application/registration processes. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, initiative, and self-direction are required.

25% Provide administrative support to Clinical and Experiential Programs, including reception desk coverage, answering phone calls, emails, and assisting students, faculty, staff, and walk-in guests in person. This includes providing office support, such as typing, proof-reading, and editing documents, reserving rooms, photocopying and collating materials, and assisting with office equipment such as printers, fax machines, and copiers. Requires strong communication skills and comfort in working with diverse populations. Requires knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and the ability to quickly learn University phone systems and office equipment.

15-25% Provide support to Clinical and Experiential Programs with law practice technology, social media, and PR. This includes implementing and assisting with media and PR strategies in print and online formats, as well as data entry using law practice management software, and assisting students with law practice technology. Familiarity with Adobe, PowerPoint, Microsoft Office, and social media is required. Familiarity with and/or ability to quickly learn new law practice technologies such as Clio and Time Matters is necessary.

10-20% Depending on the candidates language skills, this person may assist with Spanish language interpretation of client and witness communications, as well as translating documents for clinic cases. This aspect of the position is preferred but not required.

15% Assist with compiling applications and producing reports for grant-funded Clinical and Experiential Programs. Requires familiarity with all Microsoft Office programs, internet research skills, and strong writing skills.
