Position Summary:

The Department of Psychology and its Harlow Center for Biological Psychology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison invite applications for a faculty position at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level from individuals who conduct psychologically relevant research with non-human primates. The ideal candidate will mount a vigorous and cutting-edge research program aimed at better understanding the biological bases of behavior, psychological function and/or health, while making significant contributions to the department's teaching mission. Research could involve developmental, physiological, neuroscience, genomics, biomarkers, and/or behavioral (social, affective, cognitive) approaches and could include research with humans. We are especially interested in candidates whose work spans traditional subdisciplines within psychology or between psychology and other disciplines.

Principal Duties:

Teach at the undergraduate and graduate level in addition to supervising master's and doctoral students. Conduct scholarly research and perform University and professional service as appropriate.

Degree and Area of Specialization:

Ph.D. in Psychology or related field required prior to start of appointment.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

A well qualified candidate will demonstrate excellence or the potential for excellence in teaching and scholarly research related to non-human primates. Teaching experience welcome.
