Suffolk University is delighted to announce an opportunity as a
Fellow in the department of Diversity, Access, and Inclusion and
the Sawyer Business School!
The fellowship program advances Suffolk’s commitment to diversity,
equity, and inclusion by creating a pipeline of scholars and change
agents. Under the direction of an Academic Department Chair in the
Sawyer Business School and the Vice President of Diversity, Access,
and Inclusion, the fellow will continue research and scholarly work
towards the completion of their dissertation, expand their
knowledge around pedagogy, design and implement a course for the
Sawyer Business School, and engage in activities to support an
inclusive community. As part of the program, the fellow will
instruct a course during the Spring 2022 term. This position is an
appointment starting as soon as possible, but there is flexibility
to start in January 2022 and will continue through May 2022.
There is also flexibility for this to be a part-time or
full-time appointment. This program is also designed to provide an
opportunity for a doctoral student to receive mentorship,
professional development, and career experience to aid in future
career endeavors.
The Sawyer Business
School, one of the three units of Suffolk University, was
established in 1937 and is AACSB accredited in both Business and
Accounting areas. The School has a global focus as part of its
mission and students from around the world make up its 3,000
undergraduate and graduate students. Many of our over 100 faculty
members are engaged in various types of research and practice. The
School offers one BSBA undergraduate degree with eleven majors and
ten Master’s level graduate degrees including EMBA. Our programs
emphasize experiential learning to foster classroom-industry
collaboration and help students prepare for their future
careers.
Requirements:
- Enrolled in a doctoral program (Ph.D., Ed.D., etc.)
- Completed most or all coursework, passed doctoral comprehensive exams with dissertation proposal approved.
- Demonstrated interest and commitment to teaching centering diversity, equity, and inclusion in the course content, instructional methods, and assessment practices.
