Brief Summary of Work for this Position

Under the direction of the Master of Science in Accountancy ( MSA ) Director and the Accountancy and Business Law Department Chair, the MSA Coordinator manages the administrative functions of the MSA program with a primary focus on attracting and enrolling well-qualified applicants to the program. Additional responsibilities include advising and assisting students with admissions and enrollment processes, planning orientation and placement activities, identifying and appointing graduate assistants and graduate teaching assistants, and supporting the ABL internship director in guiding students to the MSA program. The MSA Coordinator also serves as the advisor to the MSA Association and liaises with firms who recruit interns and MSA graduates. Upon request by the MSA Director and/or ABL Department Chair, the MSA Coordinator supports efforts to collect information needed for AACSB accreditation-related reports.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in a business, professional or educational field
  • Experience in recruiting, advising and/or placement in a professional field
  • Aptitude for marketing programs through traditional channels and social media
  • Familiarity with the accounting profession and professional service firms


Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Experience and licensure in a professional field
  • Aptitude and experience in the design and delivery of online meetings and programs
