Primary Duties
Under general supervision, the Systems & Training Analyst is responsible for providing support in furtherance of the WellCat Services’ ( WCS ) mission to support students’ unique needs by providing compassionate healthcare services and education to enhance the wellbeing of California State University, Chico students and campus community. This position will require analyzing current/future systems, while also training technical and non-technical staff. The candidate will need to pick up technology specifics and have an eye for detail. This position requires the ability to translate from our highly technical community to the medical team; providing training and support between the two. Major projects include a significant website overhaul for all WCS departments; working with the electronic medical records system ( EMR ) to initiate vaccination module; and to lead the effort of migrating from old systems to new platforms, which includes converting all departments to a shared EMR and training staff.

  • General practices, program, and/or administrative specialty.
  • Budget policies and procedures.
  • Basic knowledge of methods and procedures for research and statistical analysis and the ability to apply them.
  • Fluency in using standard office equipment (computers, copiers, phones) and standard office software packages such as, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and ability to use a broad range of technology systems and software.

Required Education and/or Experience
The knowledge, skills and abilities listed above would normally be obtained through a bachelor’s degree and/or full-time equivalent training;
AND
One year of full time administrative work experience involving study, analysis, and/or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices or programs. Additional Requirements for this Position

  • This position is considered a decentralized (federated) IT service provider, as such incumbent is required to adhere to campus policies, standards, and procedures related to information technology support, information security, change control, desktop, server and application standards, accessibility standards, applications and web development standards, vendor access requirements, training, and more. Incumbent is expected to become familiar with and support campus compliance efforts for respective area.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
Incumbent/applicant will need to be able to perform the essential job functions (duties) of this position with or without reasonable accommodation. This position alternates between remaining in a stationary position operating a personal computer, scanner, or other equipment, for long periods of time and frequently moving about inside the office. Requires the ability to coordinate the movement of electronic equipment, e.g., desktop computers, monitors, scanners, CCTV’s, desks, etc., weighing up to 45 lbs. Requires the need to travel from home office to and about the campus to other office buildings.

WORK ENVIRONMENT :
A majority of work is performed in a typical office environment operating standard office equipment. Activities require frequent interaction, and ability to work well with students, faculty, and staff. Work activities are conducted one-on-one, in groups, and alone, in primarily indoor settings. This position requires occasional irregular hours such as early mornings, evenings, and weekends to meet the needs of the students. Benefits

Eligibility for standard CSU benefits is based on an appointment of half-time or more for a period exceeding six months. Employees appointed less than half-time or less than six months are not eligible for standard CSU benefits but do receive prorated sick leave and vacation.

Eligibility for Affordable Care Act ( ACA ) benefits is based on an appointment of at least three-quarter time, hired to work a minimum of 130 hours per month over the course of the appointment or works an average of 130 hours or more per month during the measurement period.
