Winona State University invites you to join our Community of Learners as an Assistant/Associate Professor of Graduate Nursing. This position is a fixed-term/9 month appointment with an expected start date of August 15, 2022. As a faculty member, you will be directly responsible for teaching in an innovative and inspiring adult/gerontology acute care nurse practitioner (AGACNP) program particularly in the Advanced Diagnostics and Therapeutics course and Acute Care of Adults Seminars I and II courses in the graduate certificate and doctoral program in nursing. Additional duties include: (1) teaching graduate nursing core courses commensurate with department needs; (2) maintaining national certification as an Adult-Gerontology or Adult Acute Care Nurse Practitioner and licensure as an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) in the State of Minnesota; (3) instructing courses in varied locations, at varied times, and via various media commensurate with department or university needs; (4) maintaining immunizations and background study clearance and other requirements of the department and college; and (5) contributing to student learning and development including student advising and chairing or serving on master’s thesis, scholarly inquiry paper, or Doctor or Nursing Practice Project committees. Minimum qualifications for this position include (1) being nationally certified as an adult or adult-gerontology acute care nurse practitioner through a nationally accredited master’s, graduate certificate, or Doctor of Nursing Practice program; (2) licensed as a registered nurse with current registration, or eligible for licensure, in Minnesota and Wisconsin and licensed as an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN), or eligible for APRN licensure by the start date of the appointment, in Minnesota and Wisconsin; and (3) satisfactory background study clearance as required by Minnesota statutes.
