UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA LEVIN COLLEGE OF LAW seeks to hire two nationally recognized scholars as part of the university’s quest to continue as a top five public research institution. The University of Florida, located in Gainesville, FL, is currently the fifth best public research institution in the nation and the flagship university of the third largest state. The Levin College of Law seeks highly qualified lateral candidates for tenured positions. College of Law faculty are expected to engage in scholarship, teaching and service.

The Appointments Committee welcomes applications from scholars who have already obtained tenure at other universities and publish in one or both of two areas: Constitutional Law and Race and the Law, each broadly defined. Successful candidates will have strong publication records, commitment to excellence in teaching, and enthusiasm for creating inclusive environments for all students.

In addition to appointments as tenured professors of law, successful applicants may also be appointed the Raymond & Miriam Ehrlich Eminent Scholar Chair in Constitutional Law and/or Director of the Center for the Study of Race and Race Relations, depending on candidates’ scholarly interests.

Candidates must also have a JD, PhD, or equivalent degree in a related field.
