The Communication Studies Program within the Department of Communication Studies, Dance, & Theatre at Saint Mary’s College, Notre Dame, IN, is seeking to fill a visiting assistant professor line for the Spring semester of 2022. We are seeking a generalist with an emphasis in media studies to teach: Advertising in Society, Mass Media and Society, and Introduction to Communication Studies, a hybrid theory and public speaking course.  Candidates should have a Ph.D. or ABD in Communication Studies or related field.

Saint Mary’s College is a four-year, Catholic liberal arts college for women. The Communication Studies Program is one of the largest majors on campus and offers students a holistic approach to the study of Communication. In addition to the Introductory course, students take courses in media studies, rhetoric, and speech communication, before completing a self-designed senior comprehensive research project. The program also houses one of the largest minors on campus, Public Relations/Advertising.
