Information Technology Administrative Coordinator

Montgomery County Community College invites applications for the Information Technology Administrative Coordinator position. The Information Technology Administrative Coordinator acts as a resource for the members of Information Technology department at both campuses in a manner that enables highly-efficient departmental operations and optimal delivery of IT services.  The position will work with the Vice President in the management of Pennsylvania Right-to-Know requests in a manner that adheres to Open Records regulations.  The position will manage IT procurement in alignment with the College’s Procurement policy, including identifying suppliers, obtaining required quotes, processing purchases, tracking orders throughout the procurement and payment process, and paying invoices.  The position will also maintain all IT contracts, interacting with vendors, assessing new and renewed contracts for key requirements and changes, processing and recording signed contracts, maintaining a contract renewal calendar, etc.  The position will maintain the annual IT budget, maintaining GL account balances, recording procured items and services, proactively scheduling annually-renewed purchases, etc.  This work includes receiving requests, communicating with the requestor within the department and throughout the College, coordinating and documenting conversations with legal counsel, responding to requestor, etc.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Training/Work Experience:

  • Associate’s degree required.  Bachelor’s degree preferred.  Degree or coursework in Business Administration, Accounting or Computer Science preferred.
  • Ability to roughly interpret contractual language so as to be able to identify renewal deadlines, contract terms, financial commitment, penalties, etc.
  • Excellent communications and writing skills.
  • Ability to manage confidential information and communications.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and an ability to manage multiple priorities and the capacity to work both independently and as part of a team.                                                                                    

Specialized Knowledge & Skills:

  • Demonstrated mastery of advanced Microsoft Excel and Word required.
  • Demonstrated understanding of basic accounting required.
  • Demonstrated understanding of technology hardware and software preferred.
