Summary of Job Duties:
The Student Event Assistant (SAE) will
be responsible for maintaining and analyzing event data with
NUMALink and assist with event coordination of events for the
Student Activities Office. The SEA will report directly to the
Director of Student Activities and Coordinator of Assessment for
Student Affairs (DSA) and the Student Life Office Manager
Education & Work Experience:
include: must be a UAFS student with previous experience in
planning events, whether at UAFS or in the community. The student
must also be in good standing and enrolled in a minimum of 9 credit
hours. Prior experience in a RSO is a plus.
Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Assist with the upkeep of event files on NUMALink.
- Assist Student Activities (SAO) professional staff with
planning, promoting, and executing various campus events (e.g.
Homecoming, Family Weekend, Block Party, Welcome Week, etc.)
- Create new event opportunities for UAFS students, under the
direction of the DSA.
- Assist with creating marketing requests and building marketing
plans for SAO events.
- Assist with booking reservations for events.
- Assist with soliciting for volunteers for events.
- Assist with event donations, as needed.
- Assist with RSO key check-outs and visitor parking passes.
- Assist Student Activities Marketing Assistant with event
information for Social Media as needed.
- Assist RSOs with approval of flyers, making copies, restocking
copy paper in the SAO and computer lab, checking and distributing
office mail and maintaining a clean SAO Workroom area.
- Greet guests, answer phones, and cover Switchboard when
