The Office of Development at Messiah University currently has a full-time opening for a Director of Development & Capital Campaigns.

Responsibilities:  This is a full-time, 12-month position that will be responsible for directing the strategic planning and implementation of the major gifts fundraising operations of Messiah University. In addition, the position will be charged with implementing and completing Messiah’s future comprehensive campaigns. This position will work closely with the Executive Director of Development and the Vice President for Advancement to execute the major gifts fundraising plans for the University as well as future campaigns for emerging projects. The ideal candidate is driven, self-motivated, organized, and flexible; possesses outstanding written and oral communication skills; and has experience with major gifts fundraising and leading fundraising campaigns.

Qualifications:  Master’s degree required, Doctoral degree preferred. Minimum of 5 to 7 years of professional fundraising experience, with a focus on fundraising campaigns or major gifts required. Must have a proven track record of successfully securing major gift support and show success leading and directing fundraising campaigns, and the ability to manage the campaign budget.
