The Education and HDFS program is seeking a Full-Time Faculty member to start in the Spring 2022 semester. The Child Development Program is accredited by and has adopted the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) associate degree standards. These standards are the foundation of our curriculum and the core of our accountability, ensuring the program meets its objectives and students achieve their learning outcomes. The Education and HDFS program is currently offering course work related to Illinois Subsequent Endorsements for Professional Educators such as English as a Second Language and Special Education. The mission of the Education and HDFS program is to provide an affordable, accessible, and quality education that prepares students with the developmental, cultural, and educational knowledge they need to become professional child education and care providers for a diverse range of children.



PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Design courses to meet learning outcomes, and promote students' active participation in their own learning.
  • You must demonstrate excellence in teaching, commitment to integrating new technologies in the learning process, and the ability to inspire, motivate and empower students to succeed.
  • You are required to post your syllabi on Brightspace and to enter your grades online.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Master’s Degree in Education OR Master’s Degree in Child Development, or similar field.
  • Prefer to have a candidate with an active IL Professional Educator’s License with Subsequent Endorsements in ESL/Bi-lingual and/or Learning Behaviors Specialist and/or Early Childhood Special Education Approval. Hiring for endorsements have an appropriate coursework requirement.
  • Prefer knowledge of a Learning Management System.
