Position Summary:

Under the close direction of the Department Administrator, prepares and advises on general financial transactions and reconciles transactions. Creates general reporting on transactions. Maintains financial records, provides administrative processing support, and provides customers service for staff and customers in an assigned program area to support program financial management.

Required:
1. Knowledge of financial principles and practices.
2. Knowledge of accounting processes and familiarity with accounting software
3. Knowledge of Microsoft Office
4. Well organized with attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
5. Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Commitment to courteous and responsive customer service, with the desire to work as part of a team.
6. Compliant regarding security and confidentiality in accordance with applicable University and governmental regulations.
Preferred:
1. Knowledge of university accounting policies and procedures
2. Knowledge of travel regulations
3. Knowledge of WISDM, UW E-Reimbursement, preferred.

Work Schedule:

Schedules for 1st shift positions are primarily 8 hour shifts, Monday through Friday, set between the hours of 7:30am - 4:30pm. Some flexibility may be available start/end times. Will be adjusted for 60% FTE. Schedule will be determined upon hire.
