Ball State University Information Technology is seeking a Project Manager and Enterprise Systems Coordinator. The successful applicant will research, setup and configure enterprise solutions based on end user requirements as a system administrator. In this role you will perform advisory functions that include project evaluation and prioritization, initiative identification, project request analysis, project and purchase recommendations, tracking implementation and budgets. Position Function
Provide systems expertise, direction and guidance as part of the Enterprise Project Support Office ( EPSO ). The EPSO will work with university-wide project stakeholders to develop project business cases and supporting budgets for review and approval of the vice presidential liaisons. The EPSO will perform advisory functions that include project evaluation and prioritization, initiative identification, project request analysis, project and purchase recommendations, tracking implementation, system administration, budgets and benefits measurement. This position spends equal portions of time on both functional and technical duties.
Minimum Education
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
Minimum Experience
At least two years of professional IT experience including project management experience, experience as system coordinator/ administrator for an enterprise solution; demonstrated experience working with third-party vendors to determine product and services technical compatibilities. At least two years of customer service and training experience. Ability to learn and create specifications for SQL scripts in an ERP environment.
Minimum Other
Experience in communication and presentation skills; ability to quickly adapt and become familiar with university processes and procedures and quickly establish a rapport and confidence among multiple university units and levels of the organization. Ability to meet with end users to capture and understand needs and processes to make informed recommendations for process improvement or system solutions. Must be willing to assure the continuity of enterprise systems and be available to provide support assistance on a 24 hour-a-day, 365 day-a-year basis.

Preferred Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technology or business related program.
Preferred Experience
Five years of experience working in an IT environment at a higher educational institution providing hardware/software solutions at a managerial or leadership level. Five years of project management and Ellucian Banner ERP experience and knowledge.
Preferred Other
Strong communication skills and the demonstrated ability to coordinate systems design, implementation and operation using a team-oriented approach.
