Department Summary
The Clark Honors College, University of Oregon, offers arts and letters, social science and natural science courses to academically motivated undergraduates, essentially providing the experience of a small liberal arts college within the greater UO.

Position Summary
The Clark Honors College invites applications for Pro Tem Instructor positions in undergraduate arts and letters, social science, and natural science. The pool is for part-time, temporary, limited duration teaching appointments not to exceed one year, but with the possibility of renewal for up to three years. Potential courses may include 200-level and/or 400-level undergraduate courses in arts and letters, social sciences, and natural sciences. Instructors in journalism, education, business, law, music, dance, architecture (all sub-fields), design, art history, public planning, and sustainability may possibly teach 400-level undergraduate colloquia.

Successful candidates will have professional experience, demonstrated ability of quality teaching, and a commitment to working effectively with students, faculty and staff from diverse backgrounds.

Applications will be accepted on a continuous basis. Screening of applications will take place as positions become available and continue until positions are filled.

Minimum Requirements
Ph.D. or appropriate terminal degree, in a relevant field, in hand by the start of the position, and evidence of superior teaching ability.
