The Educational Policy Studies Department at FIU invites applications for two nine-month, open-rank tenure-track or tenured positions in Educational Leadership beginning in August 2022.
Qualifications: Earned doctorate in Educational Leadership or
related field. Successful applicants must show a record of
dissertation supervision and evidence of collaborative work with
school districts and/or district leaders. Applicants
must have an active research agenda commensurate with rank as well
as demonstrate the potential to secure external funding.
Responsibilities: Teaching graduate level courses in educational
leadership, supervision of master’s and doctoral students, serving
on dissertation committees, program development, participate in the
procurement of external grants, and maintain a scholarship agenda
commensurate with a tenure-track line. Both hires are expected to
assume program leadership responsibilities.
The Program offers the MS, EdS and EdD in Educational Leadership.
All degrees place special emphasis on graduating students equipped
for cross-cultural exchanges, particularly in urban settings. Women
